The ADA is federal law that prohibits discrimination against a qualified individual on the basis of a disability in regard to job application procedures, the hiring, advancement, or discharge of employees, employee compensation, job training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment. In accordance with the ADA, the university recognizes that individuals with a disability or handicap may need a reasonable accommodation to have equally effective opportunities to participate in employment. As such, employees and applicants may request a reasonable accommodation through Human Resources Management (HRM) or the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion (OIDI).
