Called to Action: Lessons on Faith, Activism and Purpose with Social Justice Leaders

March 30, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
What drives your passion to pursue social justice? In what ways do your faith or values align or conflict with these passions? This program will highlight the experiences of social justice leaders who identify with their faith, spirituality or religious communities, and address the challenges and tensions that can occur when conflicting values arise between faith traditions and social activism. Join us to hear four local leaders discuss how their personal connection to their faith tradition, religious community or spirituality fuels their commitment to social justice work. The panel discussion will be followed by an interactive workshop led by student leaders from a variety of faith and social activist communities on campus.
