A Tribute to the Dream

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Tuesday, Jan. 16 with Northeastern’s annual event. “A Tribute to the Dream: Expressions of Race and Identity in Society” will start at noon on the 17th floor of East Village and feature a panel discussion that builds upon recent local and global discussions of race and society and a musical performance by students. Panelists include Jonathan Kaufman, director of Northeastern’s School of Journalism; Akilah Johnson, a Boston Globe reporter who covers immigrant communities and the people behind city, state, and federal policies; and Clint Smith, a writer, poet and scholar. It will be moderated by Dan Lothian, former CNN Boston Bureau Chief and White House correspondent, and Northeastern journalism professor.
