About
The John A. and Marcia E. Curry Student Center is the crossroads for community life at Northeastern, serving all members of the University in a celebration of diversity and student life. The Student Center serves as the “living room” of the campus…a place where students, faculty and staff can feel at home, a place where you can get involved in the life of the University through programs, activities, and governance.
It is also home to a food court, information center, bookstore, gameroom, student organization offices, meeting rooms, email stations, and a late-night club with big-screen TVs and cafe. Located in the heart of the Northeastern campus, the Curry Student Center is convenient to most academic and administrative facilities. The building houses a comprehensive activity complex that offers a comfortable environment and services for both off-campus and resident students.
The Student Center as well as Student Activities and Leadership staff are dedicated to advising and assisting students in leadership development and successful student organization management. Our services and programs provide a central University focus for the co-curricular needs and interests of more than 200 student clubs and organizations. Programs are designed to promote leadership development, decision-making, and self-governance.
The Student Center is more than a building:
• It is an organization and a program. • It contributes cultural, social and recreational programs and services that are integral parts of the University’s mission. • The Student Center serves as a laboratory for citizenship, training students in social responsibility and for leadership in a global society. • It encourages self-directed activity and the free exchange of ideas. • The Center provides and promotes maximum opportunity for self-realization and growth in individual social competency and group effectiveness. • Its goal is the development of the whole person. • As the “living room” of the University, the Curry Student Center is a unifying force in campus life, cultivating enduring regard for and loyalty to Northeastern University.
