Kara Mae Brown is an English lecturer and the interim director of first-year writing. Her areas of interest include teaching with technology, eportfolios, assessment, and creative writing. Her work on curriculum development has appeared in the Journal of College Writing. Her works of short fiction and narrative nonfiction have been published in Bluestem Review, Flint Hills Review, Summerset Review, and Word Riot.
