Becoming a Tutor

Becoming a Peer Tutor is a great on-campus part-time employment opportunity for qualified upper class undergraduate students. It is a great leadership opportunity that offers a rewarding community-building experience. It allows for flex time; tutors set their own work schedule. It is also a great resume building opportunity. Upper-class students  who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply to become peer tutors (freshmen and transfers can apply during their second semester at NU).  Students with GPA over 3.0, A or A- in courses they plan to tutor, and strong faculty support may apply for a Peer Tutor in Training position by contacting the  program Manager Pam Searle at  or the program Director Tina Kondopoulos at to set up an interview.
