Tutoring Program: The WRITING CENTER (WC) provides free & friendly help for writers of any skill level. The writing consultants provide help with conceptualizing, planning, researching, organizing, drafting, revising, editing techniques, etc.

Type of tutoring services: Walk-ins, one-on-one by appointment, and web tutoring.
Delivery of services: Teachers of Writing/graduate students in English, as well as undergraduates who qualify for the Peer Tutor Program.

Tutor qualifications: Graduate students who have completed at least a B.A., have been awarded a Teaching Assistantship, and are working on their M.A. or Ph.D. in English. Also, peer tutors who have recently passed their AWD course with an A, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, and attend CRLA Level 1 Basic Tutoring Training.
Tutor Training: Ongoing TA training through the Writing Program Committee and specialized training in the WC (topics set at the WC opening meeting).
