Tutoring Programs: Student Resource Center

How to access the Tutoring Services: Walk-in services are offered by graduate students in 310 Lake Hall. One-on-one tutoring appointments are offered by the Peer Tutoring Program in 101 Lake Hall.

Type of tutoring services: Walk-in services are available for the following courses: ECON 1115 Principles of Macroeconomics, ECON 1116 Principles of Microeconomics, ECON 2315 Macroeconomic Theory, ECON 2316 Microeconomic Theory, and ECON 2350 Statistics.

One-on-one peer tutoring appointments are offered by the Peer Tutoring Program via this link.

Delivery of services: Graduate students in the Student Resource Center and peer tutors in the Peer Tutoring Program.

Ways to recruit tutors: Graduate students are assigned by the Graduate Director. Peer tutors are recruited by faculty and hired by the Peer Tutoring Program @ NU.

Tutor Qualifications: Graduate economics students or peer tutors. Peer tutors must have recently passed the course(s) they plan to tutor with an A- or higher, must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, must demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, and must attend CRLA Level 1 Basic Tutoring Training.
