November 19, 2009 In Memory & Legacy: The Interdisciplinarity of Civil Rights

This symposium brings together an interdisciplinary panel of academicactivists who focus on the challenges of research and pedagogy as they relate to the Civil Rights movement in the United States. Kimberly Juanita Brown, Peniel E. Joseph, and Charissa Threat, who work within and beyond the parameters of the movement's ideology, engage in a conversation about the different ways in which they enter the discourse of this historical, cultural, and political moment.
