The Online Teaching and Learning Inquiry Group is an opportunity for ongoing conversation and exploration about the world of online learning. Each semester, the group establishes priorities for topics it would like to investigate. Past topics have included engaging reluctant students, creating interactive media, grading and managing discussions, crafting student-generated content assignments, and teaching a course designed by someone else. Each meeting includes the opportunity to discuss participants’ ongoing online teaching challenges. The group typically includes both new and seasoned online instructors. Regular attendance is not mandatory, but a commitment to participation over the semester is desired.
