On May 5th, 2015, the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research will host the first annual Conference for Advancing Evidence-Based Teaching (CAET). In line with this year’s theme of “Building a Learning Science Network,” the conference will reveal Northeastern University’s own growing Learning Science Network, highlighting the collaborations and connections between educators dedicated to advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning through evidence-based teaching.

CAET will feature research conducted by Northeastern faculty and staff engaged in learning science and evidence-based teaching, including this year’s Faculty Scholars for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research and recipients of the Provost’s Grants for Advancing Undergraduate Teaching and Learning.

The Keynote Address will be given by Dr. Daniel Simons, Professor of Psychology and head of the Visual Cognition Laboratory at the University of Illinois, who will present on “Testing Intuitions: How We Can Improve Learning by Better Understanding Our Own Minds.”

To learn more information and register, please visit the CAET website or contact Dr. Cigdem Talgar, Director of the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research, at c.talgar@neu.edu.
