Basic information on what’s available through your myNortheastern account can be found at: https://its.northeastern.edu/services/mynortheastern/

You will need to claim your myNortheastern account, which you are generally able to do between 2 and 5 business days after being hired.

You can access your faculty email in the browser by clicking here (we recommend you bookmark this page). You can log in using your myNortheastern username and password (you will need to have activated your myNortheastern account in order to access your e-mail). Please note that it can take up to an hour for newly created myNortheastern accounts to be recognized by the Web e-mail system.

Northeastern Canvas

Northeastern utilizes Canvas as its Learning Management System. Canvas has robust technical capabilities to support delivery of a high-quality, high-touch experience for students in all sections, in all programs. If you have not used Canvas before, signing up for a workshop or on-demand training can help you get comfortable with content creation, course organization, assignment creation, engagement ideas, best practices, and recommendations. If you’re already familiar with Canvas, you will be able to dive even deeper into features.

CPS Instructional Onboarding

The CPS Instructional Onboarding is a asynchronous training in Canvas which all new instructors are asked to complete, ideally before starting teaching, featuring videos of current staff, instructors, and leadership which focuses on CPS best practices for instructor expectations, student experience, supporting student success, maintaining academic integrity, instructor feedback and grading, and academic quality. The Instructional Onboarding should appear as one of your courses in Canvas; if you do not have access, please contact your program manager.
