GETTING STARTED AT CPS
myNEU Access (http://myneu.neu.edu)
“myNEU” is Northeastern University’s community portal, and it is used to access many University services. In addition to accessing the myNEU portal, your myNEU account credentials (username and password) are also used to authenticate your identity for access to E-mail, Blackboard, and a variety of other Northeastern University services listed below or in the IS@NU Service Catalog (http://www.northeastern.edu/infoservices/?page_id=37).

You will need to claim your myNEU account, which you are generally able to do between 2 and 5 business days after being hired.
Open a Web browser and type in this address: http://outlook.neu.edu. You can log in using your myNEU username and password (you will need to have activated your myNEU account in order to access your e-mail). Please note that it can take up to an hour for newly created myNEU accounts to be recognized by the Web e-mail system.
Important Note: All University correspondence will be sent to your NEU email address. You may have your NEU email automatically forwarded to your personal or business address by sending an email to email@example.com with the message, “Please forward all of my emails from [your NEU email address] to [your preferred email address].” It typically takes 2 business days to complete the request.
Northeastern University utilizes Blackboard as it’s learning management system. The College requires all faculty to complete a two-week, fully-online training program to introduce you to the Blackboard system and assist you in “building” your first course. You will automatically be enrolled in the next available training program and will receive email communication from NU Online about getting started. In addition to this initial training, the NU Online team also provides ongoing support through their Instructional Design team, as well as a wealth of information on their Instructor Resource Center.
