Dean’s Graduate Fellowships
Dean’s Graduate Fellowships attract the very best applicants for graduate study, who will influence science, technology, and society itself as future leaders in education, research, and industry. In fact, for many scholars, the choice of graduate school is strongly influenced by economic factors such as fellowship opportunities. Graduate fellowships give exceptional students the flexibility and freedom to focus on their own research interests and pursue the cutting-edge scientific research.
Junior Faculty Scholar Award
Balancing professional and personal life can create a special set of challenges for junior faculty members at a critical point in their careers. Funds to purchase lab or home computer equipment, pay for child or family care, or support a co-op student in their lab can make a big difference in their lives. A gift to establish a Junior Faculty Scholar Award will provide an outstanding young faculty member with a one-year grant of unrestricted funding to help meet needs and provide support for outstanding young faculty members during a critical period in their careers.
Unrestricted support, used at the discretion of the Department Chair, is directed where the need is the greatest to enhance the academic programs and faculty development. Funding areas include undergraduate research, travel funds for students to attend conferences, guest lectures, seminars and special programs to improve instructional skills.
