Ben Kemmer, NU MES alumnus, and Environmental Science majors Marissa Carvalho, Theresa DeLucia and Keiji Hammond, all attended the Licensed Site Professional Association Meeting on March 13th.
The LSP Association is a non-profit membership organization that educates and informs nearly 1,000 hazardous waste management professionals, in order to help achieve and maintain high standards of practice in overseeing the assessment and remediation of hazardous waste disposal sites.
The students had the opportunity to network with senior environmental professionals from environmental consulting companies, environmental laboratories and the vice president of environmental affairs for a major oil company.
All of our students were a credit to Northeastern and in representing the Marine and Environmental Sciences Department. After dinner, there was a seminar on vapor intrusion, assessment and remediation techniques.
