Faculty and graduate students participate in various seminars, colloquia, and conferences in the greater Boston Area.

Weekly seminars held in our department include the Analysis-Geometry Seminar; the Geometry-Algebra-Singularities-Combinatorics Seminar; the Geometry, Physics and Representation Theory Seminar; and the Representation Theory and Related Topics Seminar.  In addition, the Brandeis-Harvard-MIT-Northeastern Colloquium rotates between the four campuses with approximately one talk per month in our department.

A special Singularities seminar will be held each week in Fall 2016.

We organize several annual conferences. The Maurice Auslander Distinguished Lectures and International Conference is held every April in Woods Hole on Cape Cod; this event is co-sponsored by Bernice Auslander and our department, and attracts participants from many institutions in the Boston area and around the world.
