The centerpiece of the MSC Outreach Program is the rocky shore field experience. Scientists have been studying the rocky shore at Nahant for over 150 years, and this two to three hour student experience introduces students to both marine life and how scientists conduct field study in this pristine coastal setting.

The Coastal Ocean Science Academy (COSA) is a marine science summer day program for middle and high school students.
The collaborative “From School to Sea: Linking Middle Schoolers in Lynn to the Ocean Next Door” program between the Northeastern University Marine Science Center Outreach Program and Lynn Public Schools allows sixth graders to become familiar with marine and environmental science through field-based inquiry and exploration.
