The central feature of OGL is the Ocean Genome Resource, the world’s first marine-dedicated public genome bank. The Ocean Genome Resource is a central repository for genomic materials, including tissue, DNA, RNA, DNA libraries and amplified DNA products, exactingly prepared from expertly identified and documented specimens. Many genomic materials are DNA-barcoded (by sequencing diagnostic genes), referenced to museum (voucher) specimens and maintained under optimal conditions for long-term preservation in OGL’s secure state-of-the-art storage facility at Northeastern University.
Search or browse the complete listing of available specimens in the Ocean Genome Resource. Request materials directly through the catalog, or use other request options.
Preserve your precious research materials, fulfill NSF/NIH material sharing requirements, and help grow the OGR collection.
Highlights: coral reefs, marine mammals, and Marine Genome Sanctuaries
Thank you sample donors / collaborators!
Commitment to Open Access
