Searching the next frontier

Northeastern Assistant Professor of Physics, Toyoko Orimoto, works at the Large Hadron Collider at the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzerland.

She was on the team that identified the Higgs boson — the last elusive particle in the Standard Model of physics.

She continues to search for possibilities beyond the Standard Model like gravity and dark matter.
