Requirements

Faculty: What you need to know about the NUpath Requirements to submit your course for NUpath approval.

Any course at any level and in any program can meet any requirement as long as the learning goals are met by the course. View learning goals by selecting any individual requirement.

• A course can meet up to two of the 1 through 8 requirements listed.
• Writing Intensive, Capstone, and Integrating Knowledge and Skills through Experience are not counted in the limit of two – so a course can meet more than two.

Students/Advisors: What you need to know about meeting the NUpath Requirements.

Students must complete all 11 NUpath requirements through major, minor, concentration, or elective courses. Use the Dashboard to find courses with specific attributes.

• Capstone and the writing requirements are met within your major’s plan of study.
• Integrating Knowledge and Skills through Experience can be met through co-op, or other courses that meet the criteria such as undergraduate research.
• Many courses meet more than 1 requirement. Check out the Dashboard.
• Many of your major, minor, or concentration required courses will meet NUpath Requirements.
• Transferred credits carry the NUpath attributes of the equivalent course.
