Can I request any NUpath attribute for my course?

Yes! Is it true that you can request any NUpath attribute regardless of department or the level of the course or the semester hours of the course because the NUpath requirements are competency based and not course based, this provides flexibility for our students to choose the context in which you experience learning the competency. Being competency based also ensures the rigor of meeting the NUpath requirements because the learning goals set the achievement level – not course content or level. Analyzing and Using Data, for example, can be learned in the context of fields as diverse as electrical engineering, or psychology, or international business, or music industry. The review process for approving courses for Analyzing and Using Data (and for any requirement), require that the course provides students with the opportunities to engage with the course material to achieve the same high-bar learning goals – regardless of the topic of the course.
