Huskies Rebuilding Together – Metro Denver

Join fellow Huskies from the area to help RTMD with warehouse inventory and organization, while also assisting with rebuilding projects currently in progress. Rebuilding Together – Metro Denver (RTMD) is the leading provider of home repair services for homeowners in need throughout the seven-county metro area. Founded in 1999, RTMD has served hundreds of economically challenged communities and thousands of homeowners who are veterans, older adults, and people with disabilities living on minimal incomes. Alameda County Food Bank Sort

Join fellow huskies and make a difference in your community by spending the day at the Alameda County Community Food Bank! Northeastern co-ops and NU Alumni will help sort, box, shelve, and prepare packages of food for distribution to the area. The Alameda County Community Food Bank provides food for more than 275 nonprofit agencies in Alameda County, serving more than 300,000 meals weekly. This annual holiday event includes, ice carving demonstrations, crafts, and photos with Santa. Ride the Holiday Express Train or enjoy the African Safari rides among the more than one million beautiful lights. Please bring a new teddy bear or stuffed animal to this gathering that the Chicago Alumni Chapter will donate to La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago. Join us for a fascinating glimpse into the intimate relationships that Jefferson forged with a close circle of female confidantes as his travels took him from the Virginia plantations, to the Salons of pre-Revolutionary Paris, to the early days of political Washington. The program will be led by Dr. Gerard W. Gawalt, LA'65, who was a historian and curator of presidential papers at the Library of Congress for more than 35 years. Please join co-op students, area alumni, parents, and friends at Belltown Pub for the Husky Hugs Seattle Social! Sponsored by the Northeastern University Student Alumni Association, this annual campaign helps provide teddy bears and stuffed animals to local hospitals and homeless shelters. Please bring a new teddy bear or stuffed animal to this gathering for distribution to children in need of a "hug." The Seattle Alumni Chapter will donate the bears to Seattle Children's Hospital. This tour will explore some of the purveyors of Seattle's famous beverage and several downtown specialty coffee houses will offer free tastings along the way! Join fellow co-ops and the San Diego Alumni Chapter for a scenic hike and boxed lunch at San Diego's National Park – Cabrillo National Monument. Enjoy the wildflowers on this two-mile hike on the Bayside Trail which takes you to the edge of the San Diego Harbor. Sandwiches and bottled water will be provided to all registered hikers.
