Study of the humanities at Northeastern takes an increasingly interdisciplinary and global approach to education and research. Our students explore the cultural and social impact of literature and writing, examine the global intersections of nations and cultures, and address ethics and philosophy in today’s society. Students studying the humanities benefit from a comprehensive curriculum on which to build solid academic foundations.
The humanities programs provide excellent preparation for a broad spectrum of career paths, while the co-op opportunities available are a great way to experience specific career interests.
Students at Northeastern are uniquely positioned to bridge disciplines and connect ideas to action through co-op. Students majoring in the humanities are encouraged to explore career interests and will find an abundant range of co-op positions to choose from.
Co-op opportunities in the humanities are as diverse as our students’ interests and include jobs in the media, law firms, schools, publishing houses, museums, public relations and advertising agencies, government and legislative offices, high-technology companies and research organizations.
