Summer Conferences

Northeastern has facilities available for rent to summer conference groups for meetings, summer institutes, special events, and youth camps. We welcome professional organizations and businesses, as well as young adult camps and other youth programs. Summer conference space can include meeting space, housing, and dining plans. On-campus parking may also be available. A contract and insurance coverage is required for outside groups renting space for summer conferences at Northeastern. Facility rental fees apply for meeting space, as do charges for lodging and meals and other services like parking, audio-visual, media services, and public safety. The Office of University Events, in collaboration with the Office of Summer Conference Housing, can advise you on the required contracts, insurance procedures, and costs.

The Office of University Events can assist you in locating meeting space on campus for summer conferences. Housing Services will help you with overnight accommodations and meal plans. Summer accommodations are available in apartment complexes and standard residence halls, including Davenport Commons, West Village, White Hall, and Willis Hall. Rooms may be either single or double occupancy. Housing is available from June to mid-August. Since space is limited, we encourage you to inquire early.

Rates set by Housing Services supersede rates noted above and are subject to change without notice.

APARTMENT STYLE
Single bedrooms in a shared apartment, 2–5 people per apartment, $68/per person
Shared bedroom in a shared apartment, 2–5 people per apartment, $195 per apartment
Shared bedrooms, 3, 4, or 5 people, additional $30 per person (maximum 5 ppl per apartment)

DORM STYLE

Single occupancy, 1 person, $55/person
Double occupancy, 2 people, $42/person

Meal plans
The summer conference housing program includes an optional meal plan. The standard 2008–2009 per-meal costs for summer conferences are as follows: breakfast, $7; lunch, $10; and dinner, $14.
