Preferred hotels There are over 30,000 hotel rooms in the metropolitan Boston area, 18,000 of which are in Boston and Cambridge. Thirteen major hotels are located within 15 minutes or less walking distance from the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street, near the Northeastern campus. In addition to the major hotels in the city, there are additional lodging options available, including bed & breakfasts, small inns, economy lodgings, and long-term and short-term rentals, as well as on-campus housing at Northeastern in the summer months only. Northeastern University recommends the following hotels where we have negotiated special University rates. Please note, however, that discounted rates are based upon availability, time of year, and are subject to black-out dates.
