There are over 30,000 hotel rooms in the metropolitan Boston area, 18,000 of which are in Boston and Cambridge. Thirteen major hotels are located within 15 minutes or less walking distance from the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street, near the Northeastern campus. In addition to the major hotels in the city, there are additional lodging options available, including bed & breakfasts, small inns, economy lodgings, and long-term and short-term rentals, as well as on-campus housing at Northeastern in the summer months only.

Please note, however, that discounted rates are based upon availability, time of year, and are subject to black-out dates. Hotel contracts
If you are arranging conference housing for a large number of guests over several days, room rates and other services become negotiable. If you need a block of rooms, you are asking a hotel to reserve rooms that will later be requested by and confirmed to individuals attending the meeting. In this case, you should consider a request for proposal from several properties, compare and negotiate room prices and value-added amenities, and select the best hotel for the conference. The hotel will prepare a contract. That contract must be reviewed by Northeastern legal counsel and signed by the University Treasurer. Do not sign hotel contracts. It is imperative that University Counsel reviews the contract, and only the Treasurer is authorized to sign the contract. On-campus summer housing
During the summer, Northeastern offers a range of lodging options in residence halls on campus for overnight guests or groups, from traditional, dormitory-style rooms to modern apartments for reasonable rates.
