Export Control Manual
The university’s Export Control Manual is designed to assist the university community in understanding and complying with export control laws. It collects in one place the university’s policies and procedures on export controls, summarizes the applicable regulations, describes the resources that are available at Northeastern, and provides links to forms, agency regulations, and helpful tools. The Manual should serve as a guide to assist in identifying when export controls might apply and how to obtain assistance in that determination.

The Higher Education Compliance Alliance (HECA) recently announced completion of a comprehensive “Compliance Matrix” – essentially a listing of key laws and regulations that apply to colleges and universities. The matrix includes a brief summary of each law, lists applicable reporting deadlines, and has embedded links to additional resources. It can be sorted by topic area or by date to plan for reporting requirements.
