Massachusetts Promise Fellowship

Housed at Northeastern University since 2001, the Massachusetts Promise Fellowship is a statewide youth development AmeriCorps program in which Fellows serve as leaders and project managers during a one year, 1,700-hour community service commitment. Fellows are placed at non-profit organizations, city agencies, and schools to lead out-of-school time projects for youth in grades 4-12 focused on mentoring, college and career exploration, and academic enrichment.  During their year of service, Fellows receive over 170 hours of professional development training related to youth development and non-profit management and also have the opportunity to pursue free coursework at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies.

The Fellowship is an excellent opportunity for post-graduates interested in community service. If you would like more information about the Fellowship, please visit
