Important Reminders

YOUR DIPLOMA: Degree candidates must complete the Apply to Graduate option and complete the application form. Take the time to provide your name as you want it to be printed on your diploma and in the commencement program.

STUDENT LOAN OBLIGATIONS: An exit interview is mandatory if you have received a Federal Perkins, Health Professions, Nursing, Physician Assistant, and/or Federal Stafford Student Loan. Your tickets, invitations, and diploma will not be released until the Exit Interview is complete. The Student Loan Collections Office, along with the Office of Student Financial Services will be contacting you with further details and session dates for completing this process.

 FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS: You must fulfill all financial obligations to the University prior to the release of your diploma. Your current balance, including any balance also owed on a payment plan, must be paid in full. If this obligation is not fulfilled until after Commencement, you must contact the Commencement Office at 617.373.4098 for the release of your diploma.

HONOR CORDS: Qualifying bachelor's degree candidates who completed the Graduation Application before the deadline, will receive an honor cord during cap and gown distribution.  If you are graduating from the College of Professional Studies please refer to their website for related policy.  Graduating with honors is reserved for Bachelor's degree candidates who have completed the required hours at Northeastern and have earned the qualifying QPA.

Transfer credit is not considered in determining the Quality Point Average.

MAILING/ADDRESS INFORMATION: Be sure to update your diploma mailing address via Apply to Graduate. Please note that this action does not update your information with the Office of the Registrar. Changes to your permanent address should also be updated on myNEU.
