Northeastern will welcome students, university leadership, faculty, staff, family and friends to celebrate its 111th commencement on Friday, May 3, 2013 at TD Garden and Matthews Arena. Graduating seniors will be lauded for their remarkable academic achievements and unique global experiences.

MATTHEWS ARENA SECURITY DETAILS:The following items are prohibited:

- Backpacks
- Bags larger than backpack size
- Firearms, other weapons
- Artificial noisemakers
- Food or beverages not purchased within the arena
- Laser pointers or similar items
- Alcoholic beverages, drugs or illegal substances
- Women’s handbags/purses of normal size will be allowed after a search
No storage or check area is available for items not allowed
