Collage
Usage Policy
Eligibility
The University has charged the Office of Marketing and Communications with preserving and promoting Northeastern's brand, in part through the development and maintenance of graphic standards: the visual elements that make up the Northeastern brand identity.
One of the advantages of the Serena Collage content management system (CMS) is that it has helped us to establish and maintain graphic standards for our Web sites. Serena's basic functionality promotes and enables the development of highly branded Web pages, and limits users in their ability to create pages that may stray from the brand.
Advanced usage
Serena Collage offers advanced features that allow for the creation of custom pages. In support of our branding mission, we have established the following policy regarding access to advanced Serena features:
The Office of Marketing and Communications reserves the right to limit the application and availability of advanced Serena features to Web sites that have a primary function of delivering Northeastern's institutional marketing messages, as defined by the Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Advanced Serena training will be limited to:
Staff members of units whose Web sites include custom pages or features that require this advanced knowledge to maintain.
Designated Webmasters who require advanced knowledge of Serena in order to maintain and update multiple Web sites within their offices or colleges.
