There are two types of links:
Internal: Any page or asset that is part of your Collage project.
External: Any page that is outside of your Collage project.
Explanation:
The term "external" link has nothing to do with whether the link is referencing a page on a Northeastern server. For example, if you are working on the Northeastern Admissions site, any page in the the Admissions site is an internal page and you could make an internal link to one of those pages. Any other link outside of the project to, say, boston.com or to another office at Northeastern would be an external link.
Making an Internal Link
1. Select or highlight the desired text or image that you would like to make a link.
2. Click the Link button
3. By default you will be on the Internal tab along the top of the window. Navigate to the page you would like to link to through the folders listed on the left an click the checkbox next to the file name.
4. Click OK
Making an External Link
There are several ways to make external links.
1. Select or highlight the desired text or image that you would like to make a link.
2. Click the Link button
3. Instead of the Internal tab, be sure to select the External tab.
4. If you already have created the external link in the past, then it will be in your external links library and you can simply select it from the list.
5. If you need to make a new link you can click the "New Link" button.
External link shortcut for Internet Explorer users:
1. Highlight the text you want to link, press CTRL + K. A Hyperlink window will appear.
2. Type in or Paste the URL you want to link to and click OK.
Creating e-mail links
1. Type in or paste the e-mail address into your page. Collage will recognize it as an e-mail address and automatically make it a link.

Remember that you can create internal links to any asset in Collage. It is the same process to link to a web page as it is to link to another type of asset such as a PDF.
