Inserting images
Before you insert an image into your page, remember that your images must be uploaded to the images folder. Inserting an image 1. Put your cursor in the place you want your image to appear. 2. Click the Image button. 3. Navigate to your images folder and click the checkbox next to the image you would like to select. To preview the image, hold your mouse over each image's icon. 4. Set your image options such as alignment and padding, and give the image an Alt tag (description of the photo for vision-impaired site users and text-based browsers). The padding (values are in pixels) controls the spacing between the image and the surrounding text. Setting the alignment will allow text to "flow" around the image. When an image's alignment is set to the right, text will flow around it on the left and vise versa. 5. Click OK and the image will be inserted into the page. 6. To edit the image settings, select the image and click the image button Watch the image process: Troubleshooting tips: It is best to have your images properly sized before adding them to Collage. Though Collage will allow you to resize images in the editor window this can result in distortion or poor quality. If you attempt to add an image to your page and receive the error message "A required field is still not filled out" then you need to enter a description of the image in the Alt tag field (description of the photo for vision-impaired site users and text-based browsers). |
