Computer Engineering

Northeastern’s computer engineering students study the fundamental technologies that make our computer-based society possible, including computer architecture, software engineering, computer-aided design, microprocessor-based design, and applied algorithms. Beginning with a background in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, our curriculum gives students a foundation in hardware and software design, including the use of RISC microprocessors, object-oriented program design, and cellular networks.
Experiential education is an important component of studying computer engineering. The experience students gain in the field will enhance their classroom discussions with real-world examples and augment their résumé with responsible positions.
