Northeastern University Bouve College of Health Sciences
Health Science

Interested in learning about health, healthcare, and community service related issues? If so, the health science major is the program for you.

Health science students complete courses that introduce them to the health-care system in the United States while providing them with the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of health policy and administration, health research, quality improvement, medical informatics, and evidence-based health care. Students can also minor  or select an area of focus in an academic area that complements their health science studies.

The multidisciplinary environment of the health science major also allows you to become familiar with a variety of healthcare professions, which will help you choose the path that’s right for you – whether it’s advanced studies or employment.

After college

Interested in attending medical school after college? You may opt to follow a Pre Medical area of focus which includes the necessary courses for medical school.  All Pre Med courses are included in the Pre Medical track of the Health Science major.
