All graduate chemical engineering students (Master’s degree and Ph.D.) are required to take the following core courses:
CHME 7320 Chemical Engineering Mathematics (4 SH)
CHME 7330 Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics (4 SH)
CHME 7340 Chemical Engineering Kinetics (4 SH)
CHME 7350 Transport Phenomena (4 SH)
Additional Master’s Degree Requirements:
For students pursuing a Master of Science degree with Thesis, an additional 8 semester hours (SH) of coursework beyond the core is required, to be selected from elective course offerings, as well as 6 semester hours of Thesis. The total minimum requirement for the Master of Science with Thesis is 30 SH.
For students pursuing a non-thesis Master of Science degree, an additional 18 semester hours of coursework beyond the core is required, to be selected from elective course offerings.
For both Master’s level degrees, coursework outside of the department curriculum may be applied to the degree requirements by petitioning the department’s graduate committee.
Additional Doctoral Degree Requirements:
