Northeastern University–Charlotte is pleased to offer a unique opportunity to incoming students, who are working as an educator in a public school at the elementary or secondary level, within a large urban area, are eligible to receive a scholarship award of up to $10,000.
All applicants to the College of Professional Studies will be automatically considered for merit scholarship eligibility during the application review process. There are no additional application requirements to be considered for the scholarship.
Must meet the following criteria:
- Must work as an educator in a public school at the elementary or secondary level in a large urban area
- Must apply and be admitted to a master’s program at the College of Professional Studies: School of Education
- U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
Scholarship Award Process:
Individuals who are accepted into a master’s program and meet the scholarship criteria will be eligible for the MacFarland Scholarship. The scholarship award will be granted within two weeks of admission into a master’s program.
Selected scholarship recipients will receive a formal letter via email of the award granted.
