What is the relationship between Northeastern University’s Charlotte campus and Northeastern’s other campuses and colleges?

Northeastern’s Charlotte campus is one location in Northeastern’s network of 13 global campuses, all of which provide education through academic programs and curricula developed with the university’s nine colleges and schools. When you study in Charlotte, you’ll participate in an enhanced and distinctive experience—one that brings together students, faculty, and employer partners from the Charlotte region. We offer curricula, professional experiences (such as clinical placements, internships, and co-ops), and research initiatives that are aligned with the needs of the Charlotte region.

If I complete a Northeastern program at the Charlotte campus, where will my diploma come from?

You’ll receive a diploma from Northeastern University. That’s true whether you study at Northeastern’s Charlotte location or any of Northeastern’s other 12 campuses in the U.S., Canada, and United Kingdom.

How long does it take to complete a Northeastern University degree in Charlotte?

The time to completion varies depending on your schedule (part- or full-time) and program (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral), but it generally ranges from 16 months to three years.

How much instruction is online and in person?

The formats vary by degree, but most are a hybrid of in-person and online learning.

What professional and experiential opportunities are offered in the degree programs at Northeastern University in Charlotte?

Northeastern’s world-renowned experiential approach is infused in degree programs at all of the university’s campuses, including Charlotte. Opportunities vary by program, so see the degree program pages for details. In collaboration with Charlotte-area employers, we offer internships, co-ops, and clinical placements for academic credit, with options for part- or full-time work, paid or unpaid work, and on-site or online work. Nursing students, for example, participate in our exceptional clinical-placements program—learning the latest skills (and earning academic credit) while working at some of Charlotte’s largest, most well-respected healthcare systems.

I have another degree from Northeastern University. Can I get a tuition discount?

Yes. All applicants with a Northeastern degree who are accepted into another Northeastern degree program can receive a Double Husky Scholarship—a tuition discount of 25 percent.

Can I apply to more than one Northeastern University degree program in Charlotte at the same time?

Yes. For each program of interest, you must submit a separate application. You may need to use an alternate email address in order to create a second account.

What materials will I need to submit to apply? What are the deadlines?
