GE is a diversified technology, finance and media company focused on solving some of the world’s toughest challenges. They serve customers in more than 100 countries and employ more than 320,000 people worldwide. Positions range from biochemist to finance specialists to wind energy engineers, and this is why General Electric is one of Northeastern’s largest and most valued co-op employers in terms of the number of students they hire. The majority of co-ops hired are in the College of Engineering with a focus on mechanical and industrial engineering. They hire up to 60 co-op students over a course of a year, with a significant number of students receiving offers for full-time positions upon graduation. Northeastern presented Mark Vachon, CEO, General Electric Healthcare, Andrea Cox, Manager, GE Aviation and their team with a special “Co-op Education Employer Award” for their continued support and commitment to co-op. GE has been a co-op partner for 50+ years; together we look forward to expanding and building a stronger domestic and global partnership.
