Triadic Game Design
Balancing Reality, Meaning and Play

Parallel to the book I developed together with Rens van den Bergh a game-based half day workshop about Triadic Game Design. The purpose of the workshop is to educate participants about this design philosophy. Other purposes could relate to exchanging knowledge about designing games or using it as a "brainstorming tool" to distill a number of concepts that can be used as an input to an actual design process.

The purpose in the workshop, or rather the goal of the game, is, however, to score the most points as a team. Points can be gained by performing well on the four or five assignments -see A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5- of the workshop.

The workshop is flexible enough for change (see suggestions) and can be applied in educational or professional settings. You are free to use and adapt it for your own purposes (see license). All of the workshop material can be downloaded with the link below.
