The third assignment deals with the world of Meaning. This time the goal is to develop a value proposal. Such a proposal conceives of an idea of how the serious purpose of the game is going to be achieved. To do this assignment, I ask participants to take the role of a person who would be responsible for this (a "meaning creator"). For example, if the game has an educational purpose, they have to act and think like a teacher.
And again teams need to blindly draw something to achieve the goal. Now they have to pick a value. This can range from certain skills to data collection. A further requirement of the exercise is to reconcile this assignment with the previous one. In other words, the value proposal must be synchronized with the model of reality.
