Teaching Assistant Training

A mandatory university-wide teaching assistantship workshop is held prior to each Fall term for new Teaching Assistants (TA). All international TAs must attend a mandatory International TA Orientation as well.

Returning TA students are strongly encouraged to attend.

This brochure answers questions about assistantships and scholarships, and defines different types of awards. For more information, contact the Associate Director of Student Services in the Graduate School, 124 Meserve Hall.

Teaching and Research Assistant Pay Schedule

SGAs are paid the 15th and the last day of each month. If either of these days falls on a weekend day, the pay day is the Friday prior to the 15th or the last day of the month.
