Publications

You are responsible for following the rules and completing the requirements described in the following publications.

It is also your responsibility to be aware of changing requirements in your department and the graduate office.

In addition to the general publications, each academic department produces a variety of materials regarding specific policies and procedures. These should be consulted in conjunction with the General Regulations and the Graduate Student Handbook.

General Regulations, 2009-2010

This publication reviews the minimum academic requirements established by the university and the graduate school. The current booklet was published in July 2009 (noted on the back of the booklet) and has a light blue band on the top and bottom of the cover. You may pick one up in your department or on the shelf outside the graduate office, 124 Meserve Hall.

Graduate Student Handbook

The Graduate Student Handbook covers student rights and responsibilities, and provides information on university resources and facilities. This publication is available either in your department or on the display outside the graduate office, 124 Meserve Hall.

A Guide to the Preparation and Submission of Theses and Dissertations

If you are planning to submit a thesis or dissertation, you must follow the current version of this publication.
