FURI
The goal of FURI is to provide students with meaningful intellectual and practical research in their academic disciplines while aiding faculty in their research and scholarship.
The program supports undergraduate research by:
-
helping students find faculty to work with, and
-
providing some funding for undergraduate research.
Students provide research support to faculty through such activities as conducting literature reviews, analyzing and categorizing information, analyzing statistical data, assisting in running laboratory experiments, developing computer programs, and drafting written analysis.
