Overview

Finance & Insurance: Finance and Insurance have emerged as exciting and expanding areas of study. Changes on the financial scene- leveraged buy-outs, merger and acquisitions, new securities instruments, risk management, fluctuating inflation and interest rates, bankruptcy and turnaround management, venture capital, hedge funds, entrepreneurial finance, and securitization – have created a new awareness of the need for financial knowledge in order to manage business firms and investment funds effectively.

Accounting: A concentration in accounting prepares the graduate for entry into one of the fastest- growing and most critical areas of management. In today's complex, ever-changing business environment, accounting requires people with sound technical knowledge, critical thinking, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Accounting is a discipline that can open the doors to many opportunities.
