Spring 2015 Productions

Columbinus

By Stephen Karem and PJ Paparelli
Directed by Matthew Gray
Performances: February 17- March 1

Motivated by the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School, columbinus is a multi-media docudrama that connections fact and fiction to illuminate today’s culture of violence. Developed by Stephen Karam and PJ Paparelli from interviews with teenagers across the country, as well as with the survivors and community members, this poignant, disturbing performance-event sheds light on the dark recesses of American adolescence.

The Importance of Being Earnest

By Oscar Wilde
Directed by Scott Edmiston
Performances: March 31- April 12

Oscar Wilde’s most famous play is a deliciously biting, wittily subversive comedy of manners that has delighted millions since its premiere in 1895. Dapper Jack Worthing and his mischievous best friend Algernon have fallen in love with two ladies who insist on marrying a man named Ernest.  Mistaken identities, secret assignations, epic epigrams, and a misplaced handbag combine to create one of the most stylish and beloved plays of all time.
