Andrea Southwick holds an MFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University, a BA in Theatre Arts & Expressive Therapies from Lesley University, and a degree in Performing Arts from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC.  She has worked extensively as an actor and a director, including the local venues of the Lyric Stage, New Repertory Theatre, Gloucester Stage, and Boston Playwright’s Theatre.  She founded and ran Southwick Studio for Theatre Arts & Expression for ten years, and previously was the education director of the New Repertory Theatre’s acting studio.  In addition to teaching at Northeastern, she is a theatre faculty member at Boston Conservatory, and has directed productions and taught acting, voice & speech, movement, and theatre arts at Boston University, UMass Lowell, and Clark University.
