Alex Jacobs

Part-Time Lecturer


Alex hails from Aylesbury, England. As an actor, he has toured extensively in the UK and USA performing in all 48 contiguous states, He has been a resident company member at Playhouse on the Square, the Hampstead Stage Co. and the Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Recent productions include A View from the Bridge, 39 Steps, The Elephant Man, Twelfth Night, Cabaret, Noises Off, The Seagull, and his own one-person show about the life of a working actor, On the Road. In New England, Alex has received four nominations and the Best Actor Award from the New Hampshire Theatre Awards. His film work includes Dark Justice and Staying in Boston.

As an educator, Alex has taught acting, public speaking, voice and diction, dialects, Stanislavski and Suzuki techniques at Brandeis University, Memphis’s Circuit Playhouse, and the Cragats Theatre in England. He holds an MFA in Acting from Brandeis and a BA in Theatre from Leeds University England. He teaches Introduction to Theatre.
