Music At Noon: Staged Reading of A New Musical
Join us for a staged reading of an exciting new musical being developed by Prof. Allen Feinstein, composer of the musical At Swim Two Boys. The reading will be a chance for the audience to get a look at a work-in-progress, and to offer feedback as the show is developed toward a full production.
Allen Feinstein is a wide-ranging composer whose work spans musical theater, silent film scores and the classical realm. Several of his film scores are part of the National Film Preservation Foundation’s Treasures DVD series which has appeared on the “top ten” lists of the New York Times, Time Magazine, and the New Yorker. His award-winning Concerto for Euphonium and Orchestra has been recorded by the New Zealand Symphony with Boston Pops soloist Adam Frey. Feinstein has written the score to three musicals and supervised the music for twenty original musicals produced by the Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
