The NU Choral Society presents some of the best-known and best-loved choral music. The Chamber Singers perform two twentieth-century favorites: Eric Whitacre’s Lux Arumque and Gwyneth Walker’s I Thank You God (based on the poem by e.e. cummings). The full chorus then surrounds the audience with Felix Mendelssohn’s stunning Heilig. The Huntington Orchestra will join the singers for Franz Schubert’s dramatic Mass in G (written when the composer was only eighteen years old!), and Antonio Vivaldi’s vibrant Gloria. Professor Joshua Jacobson conducts.
