David Herlihy on WBZ NewsRadio

This Tuesday, April 12, at 10:00, Professor David Herlihy will be Dan Rea’s guest on NightSide on WBZ NewsRadio 1030 along with Joel Tanenbaum. Tanenbaum is the Boston University graduate who was found liable in Sony BMG Music Entertainment et al v. Tenenbaum, for illegally downloading and sharing 30 songs on the Internet, thus violating US Copyright Law and was assessed damages of $675,000, although that amount was later reduced to $67,500.

An appeal on Tenenbaum’s case was heard last week in The First Circuit Court of Appeals to determine if such extreme punishment would be unconstitutional. The legal fight was characterized by the Boston Globe as the case that can define the Facebook Generation.
