Dina Kraft is the associate program coordinator of the new Media Innovation concentration for graduate students.
A long-time foreign correspondent, she began her career with the Associated Press. She worked first at AP’s Jerusalem bureau reporting on Israeli and Palestinian politics and society and was later based at its Johannesburg bureau covering southern Africa where the main stories were the region’s AIDS pandemic and Zimbabwe’s descent into political and economic chaos. Kraft has also reported from Turkey, Pakistan, Russia, Tunisia, Jordan, Russia and Ukraine.
Kraft was a 2012 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. She has taught feature writing at Boston University and has been a regular contributor to The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph and Haaretz, the Israeli newspaper, among others.
Kraft, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has a master’s degree in history from Stanford University.
